My quest for the best burger in the City of Pittsburgh took me to Buffalo Blues... Buffalo Blues is an awesome sports bar in a convenient location with a great casual Shadyside atmosphere. They offer an abundant craft beer selection, feature the best wings in the city of Pittsburgh, and serve what is quite possibly the worst burger I have ever tasted. I have no idea if the kitchen was having some real troubles this day, or if the cook just cannot get a burger together to save his life, but this burger was terrible. I really hate to give Buffalo Blues a bad score, because it is a great place to hang, but this burger rating business can be treacherous, and sometimes it paints a picture that no one was ever intended to see. |
| We visited Buffalo Blues on a Sunday, during football season, and the place was packed. Our waitress was over extended, the crowd was loud and ornery, and the kitchen was pumping out wings and nachos at a record setting pace. Unfortunately, when everything is operating on this very thin line, once in a while burgers are served burnt to a crisp and at room temperature. It is not worth it for me to describe to you the sadness that I experienced when I bit into this train-wreck, suffice it to say that I have tasted better sand at the beach. I hope that this was an off day for Buffalo Blues, I really do. |  |
