I ordered my custom Stack’d burger with half a pound of beef, topped with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, jalapeños, covered with spicy pepper jack cheese, and dripping with an amazing Stack’d house sauce, all on a sesame seed bun. The Stack’d House sauce was absolutely delicious, and the highlight of my burger. Tangy and Spicy, the house sauce has kick and bite in all of the right places. The onions and mushrooms were grilled to perfection, providing contrasting flavors and textures. The bun, however, did nothing to add to the experience, and mine was just a tad stale. If I were offering a custom burger menu, I would include the option of spraying a gentle coating of olive oil on the bun then throwing it on grill for a few seconds. I know its some extra work, but if you want to make a great burger, then it is probably worth it. Also I take issue with the quality of the beef that is being served at Stack’d. I understand that this restaurant is brand new, and giving them the benefit of the doubt, I will say that they are still trying to nail down the correct vendors, but again, if burgers are your business, then you should try to put forward a good quality burger. I am sure you can tell from my tone, the patties were a bit greasy. |
