On this Sunday afternoon I ordered the Union Grill Artisanal “Super Premium” Cheeseburger featuring aged, raw milk, sharp cheddar pepper cheese. It may be difficult to take a restaurant seriously when it self identifies its burgers as “Super Premium,” but this burger did not disappoint. The cheese was absolutely bursting with flavor, strong in all the right places. The texture of the burger was also very good; not grainy, dry or greasy each bite of the burger held together extremely well. My only complaint about this burger is that it was served well over cooked. The waffle fries served with the burger were crispy, crunchy, and delicious, and the meal presented extremely well. All and all I would say that the Union Grill serves a pretty good burger, but priced 11 dollars, they may need to come back to reality a little bit; after all, this is Pittsburgh. |
