My quest for the best burger in the City of Pittsburgh took me to Burgh’ers…
Burgh’ers is an awesome small burger shop in a remote suburb’s shopping center nearly 30 minutes north of Pittsburgh. But, unlike other strip mall burger shops, this place doesn’t try to be something its not. It embraces its strengths, its casual, inviting, and a great value. Oh yea, the Burgers are amazing too.
The preparer of the food, the man behind the counter, happened to be the owner and proprietor of the restaurant. He was a very friendly guy and took great interest in his work. I really appreciate it when someone takes the time to enjoy and share his passion for burgers.
Whoever put this burger together spent a long time trying to figure out the best possible blend of meat and spice, and it really paid off. This wasnt just some ground beef thrown together, it was a well crafted piece of art. It was juicy but not greasy, cooked to the perfect temperature, and served with love. The only drawback to the burger was the bun, it seemed to be plucked out of a plastic bag off of a shelf from a generic grocery store. A burger this delicious deserves a proper throne to rest on, not some generic meat holding balls of white dough. In any event, the food was excellent, the beer was delicious, and the experience was top notch. I cannot wait until their new location is opened in downtown Pittsburgh.
